Beck Samuels is a junior (Grade 11) at Degrassi Community School. Beck’s self-aware, sarcastic, a gamer, cynical, quick-witted and smart. He has always struggled with fitting in, and as a consequence, has taken a social backseat for most of his years in school. As a new student to Degrassi and in his sophomore year, Beck is ready to put himself out there and have a great time and have the time of his life at Degrassi. Beck’s keen ear and passion for music branged him into a friendship with Austin Matthews, Maya Matlin, Zig Novak, Zac Andrews Bambi Carmen and Imogen Moreno and closer to his hidden former crush who became his later became his girlfriend before breaking up. He is best friends and has been with Randy Watson since 6th grade. He is also friends with Austin Matthews, Zig Novak, Maya Matlin, Bambi Carmen, Dakota Harris, Tori Santamaria, Hayley Michaels, Ashli Fellom, Heather Anderson, Mike Dallas, Danny Smith, Rick, Ben Jacobs and Imogen Moreno. He was also friends with Zac Andrews before he tragically passed away. He is currently in the band WhisperHug. He is portrayed by Zachary Gordon.

In Cannonball (1), Beck is in foyer with Zac and Stefanie while they were talking. He interrupts Zac and Stefanie's conversation and tells him that he's mom is early enrolling him for the next school year and asks them why he couldn't get on to Youtube in the Resource center. He gets sarcastic with them and Stefanie threatens to shove him into a locker which makes Beck a little intimidated by her.
